WCP Auditions

West Coast Players announce auditions for the uproarious comedy, See How They Run, by Philip King.  The story involves swift action, impossibly hilarious situations and rib-tickling plot in this long-running London hit.. In an English vicarage, the vicar and his wife are overwhelmed by a barrage of colorful guests, including an American actress, an American G.I. stationed with the Air Force in England, a cockney maid who has seen too many American movies, an old dowager who “touches alcohol for the first time in her life,” a sedate Bishop aghast at all these goings-on, and four men in identical clergyman suits, one of whom is an escaped prisoner.  Ages are somewhat flexible, but as written the roles are:

Ida, the maid:   late teens/early twenties (cockney)

Miss Skillion: a nosey spinster late 30’s/early 40’s

The Reverend Lionel Toop: mid 30’s/40’s

Penelope Toop, his wife: mid/late 20’s

Lance Corporal Clive Winton:  same age as Penelope

The Intruder/Escaped Prisoner: 20’s/30’s

The Bishop of Lax:  Penelope’s Uncle

The Reverend Arthur Humphrey: 40’s

Sergeant Towers: 20’s-50’s

Auditions will be held on Sunday May 17 at 6:00 p.m.  If you are unable to make the audition date or have any questions, please email the Director, Jamie Bierchen at jamiebierchen@gmail.com.
